Lindmoor Woods offers children ages 3 to 18 the opportunity to participate in one of two swim teams.

Tiger Sharks (also called Big Sharks) is for children who are independently able to swim 25 yards unassisted (no touching the bottom, no lane ropes) in about 1 minute. All other swimming technique plus starts and finishes will be taught by our coaches. Two important outcomes for our Tiger Sharks are to improve times from week to week and to display good sportsmanship. Our team size is limited to 120 swimmers. Registration opens on March 16th with early bird pricing!

Junior Sharks (also called Juniors) is for children ages 3-5 who are exhibiting some comfort and independence in the water. For example, the child is comfortable putting their face in, jumping off the side to a parent, or blowing bubbles. The coaches will teach basic swimming skills with the assistance of our tween Tiger Sharks. The goal is to swim 25 yards unassisted by the end of the season. Our team size is limited to 12 juniors. Registration opens on March 16th and is first come, first served!

Our goal as a swim team is to cultivate a caring community for our swimmers by: 

(1) having fun
(2) developing sportsmanship
(3) working hard
(4) developing skills in the four basic swim strokes
(5) learning competitive swimming skills. 

Many of our kids have joined the pool, then joined the swim team and developed great friendships. We hope to see your kids join the team.
